Read moreWe had an amazing fly in self-drive fly out holiday on the North Island, staying in Auckland, Rotorua, Taupo & Wellington. With so many activities my sons & l had an experience of a lifetime > Auckland Sky Tower, Piha beach, Hobbiton, Rotorua Redwoods Treewalk, Tē Pā Tū Summer Harvest celebration, geothermal sites, Huka Falls river cruise & jet boat ride, Zealandia Wildlife Sanctury night tour, LOTR Wētā workshop experience & Wellington Musuem especially the Gallipoli exhibition, to name a few. Love the app as well, very handy to have while travelling, can't wait to visit the South Island. A big thank you to Owen who understood our dream & created an unforgettable experience. Read moreWe as a family of 3 did the 2 day Christchurch to Queenstown Journey including TranzAlpine Train. The train was comfortable and had refreshments available to buy. We saw some incredible views. The coaches were comfortable and actually not full so we could all have a window seat each. The coach drivers would point out views of interest and slow down so we could take photos - we stopped at a waterfall and a beach, and also comfort stops/for lunch on the 2nd day which was all coach. A mini bus took us to and from the start of the glacier viewing walk/hike point - again, well organised which picked us up from the motel and dropped us at a restaurant for dinner. The motel was great; large, clean rooms and quiet. Amazing views of the lakes driving towards Queenstown.

Read moreWe had a fabulous holiday. The itinerary put together with Kayla’s help really hit the spot for what we wanted to do. Although at first we thought there was quite a bit of driving, the car that Kayla booked was great and the routes across some of the mountain passes and other scenery were stunning. The driving actually became an enjoyable part of the holiday. We did some great walks especially round Mt Cook, and the Abel Tasman boat trip and hike was a highlight. We were pleased with all the accommodation selected for us, especially Marsden Lakes which was very luxurious and the quirkiness of Hydrangea Cottage. M Social in Auckland was also especially good and we loved being in such a central location. The only small negative was Whanganui - There was nothing of interest for us there and the hotel was situated at the edge of town with all the car showrooms. We came to New Zealand last year on a coach tour, and enjoyed it so much we came back again this year and did our own tour by car. It was even better, so much so that we are thinking of doing another trip to NZ next year. Thank you Kayla for all your organisation. Everything ran like clockwork! Hope to be talking to you again.

Read moreMy group of 8 senior citizens have just finished an entirely fun-filled and awe-inspiring 10-day Southern National Parks Tour, tailor-made for us by New Zealand’s Fine Tours Group. Arriving in Christchurch and subsequently concluding our tour in the same city, we journeyed through the amazing Aoraki-Mt. Cook, Hooker Valley, Tasman lake, Queenstown, Franz Josef, Milford Sound and many charming small towns, having experience of a lifetime. Between the Southern Alps and stunning mountain ranges, stargazing, placid lakes, 600-year-old icebergs, wild rivers, lush green landscape, rough coastlines, numerous waterfalls, cool drizzles, glacier views, forest walks, cruises... at points we had to wonder if we were in a dream or if it was all real! It was nature at its best and purest form... the South Island, with its unique landscape, flora and fauna, introduced us to a world we have not seen before… During our Milford Sound journey, we stopped by the rain forest to taste fresh and pure water directly from the river for the first time in our lives. We were also fortunate to have spotted a couple of rare Kea birds that crossed our path there. A fitting climax to the tour was at the Willowbank Wildlife Reserve in Christchurch, where we had the rare opportunity to sight 3 Kiwi birds housed in a dim forest like enclosure. There are so many other instances I could mention here, but no words could convey the out of the world wonderful experience we've had. Only a visit would do justice to the South Island, which truly has to be seen to be believed! A big thanks to Fine Tours Group New Zealand, as well as our tour agent Jessica Dryden and her ever helpful and friendly team for putting together the itinerary and organising the successful tour for us. The tour app they provided was handy - it helped us to keep track of our daily activities and gave us an easy way of keeping in touch for assistance and support the whole way through. They helped us manage a couple of lost and found incidents very efficiently while we were on the move. The items lost were identified quickly, recovered and delivered to us in the next or the last place of stay, avoiding delays and anxiety. Kudos to the entire team from Fine Tours Group! Sharing some pictures of our tour - magnificent, and yet they don't do justice to the real thing!

Read moreThe Ultimate Business Class coach from Grand Pacific was an ideal way to travel - very comfortable, with easy viewing through large windows. The driver/guide was brilliant, being very experienced, very knowledgeable, great attention to detail, a very good communicator and always very helpful for all passengers. Some smaller regional accommodation did not meet 4 star standard. Overall though, city accommodation and key regional centre accommodation exceeded our expectation. A great tour. We would thoroughly recommend it to anyone interested.

We wanted a wine and scenery tour and he planned an excellent itinerary including the superb train journey from Greymouth to Christchurch in the Scenic Plus carriage. We loved Lake Wanaka and the drive to Frank Josef Glacier. The 2 wine tours were very good and the hotels were very well chosen. Seeing the sun rise over Mt Cook and then doing the Glacier Explorers trip was a great finale.
