Which scenic train journeys can be included?
New Zealand has three major scenic rail experiences that can be incorporated into selected itineraries:
TranzAlpine
The TranzAlpine travels between Christchurch and Greymouth, crossing the Southern Alps and passing through some of the South Island's most dramatic mountain scenery.
Coastal Pacific
The Coastal Pacific operates between Picton and Christchurch, following the Pacific coastline and travelling through the Marlborough wine region and Kaikōura coast.
Northern Explorer
The Northern Explorer travels between Auckland and Wellington, passing through farmland, volcanic landscapes and the central North Island.
Are train journeys included in every Independent Coach Tour?
