Grand Pacific Tours offers a premium style of coach touring, with a strong focus on comfort, service and well organised journeys. With smaller group sizes and high quality coaches, travel feels more relaxed while still covering New Zealand’s key destinations.

Journeys are carefully planned to balance sightseeing with time to enjoy each location, supported by experienced Coach Captains and, on some tours, a dedicated tour leader.

With a demographic that often includes retired travellers, the atmosphere on board is typically calm, social and easy going, suited to those who value comfort and a well paced itinerary.

How Grand Pacific tours work

Grand Pacific Tours follow a structured itinerary, with transport, accommodation and many experiences included. Travel is by premium coach, with routes designed to cover New Zealand’s key regions in a comfortable and well organised way.

Each day is planned in advance, with a mix of sightseeing, guided experiences and time to relax. Your Coach Captain manages the journey and shares local insight, while on Ultimate tours a dedicated tour leader also travels with the group.

Signature tours

Signature tours offer a premium coach touring experience with groups of up to 32 travellers. Travel is in “Premium Economy” coaches, with a Coach Captain who also acts as your guide throughout the journey. These tours include a strong range of inclusions while still allowing some free time, creating a balanced pace. Accommodation is at least 4 star, with a focus on comfort and consistency across the trip. Signature tours are a good option if you’re looking for a well organised journey with a high level of comfort and value.

Ultimate tours

Ultimate tours offer a more refined experience, with smaller groups of up to 20 travellers and travel in “Business Class” coaches. Alongside your Coach Captain, these tours include a dedicated tour leader, providing an additional level of support and insight throughout the journey. Accommodation is typically 4 to 4.5 star, and itineraries include more inclusions and a slightly more premium overall experience. The smaller group size also allows for a more relaxed pace and a more personal feel.
