A more immersive way to travel

G Adventures offers a different style of guided travel, focused on small groups, local connection and more active ways to experience New Zealand. With a maximum of 16 travellers, tours feel more personal and flexible than traditional coach journeys.

Led by a Chief Experience Officer, each trip is designed to go beyond the main highlights, with opportunities to connect more closely with the places you visit. That might mean spending more time outdoors, supporting local communities or exploring areas that are less visited.

It’s a style of travel that suits those who want to be more involved in the experience, rather than simply following a set itinerary.

How G Adventures tours work

G Adventures tours follow a loose structure, with a planned route and key inclusions, while still allowing flexibility along the way. Transport, accommodation and selected activities are organised, but there’s space built in to explore independently or choose optional experiences.

You’ll travel in a small group, which makes it easier to adapt to the pace of the group and spend more time in places that matter. Your Chief Experience Officer leads the trip, sharing local knowledge and helping bring each destination to life.

Experiences that go a little deeper

G Adventures places a strong focus on meaningful travel, with experiences designed to connect you more closely to New Zealand. Many tours include activities that support local communities or conservation projects, offering a different perspective on the places you visit. With smaller groups and more flexibility, there’s also more opportunity to engage with your surroundings, whether that’s spending time outdoors, joining optional activities or simply exploring at your own pace.
