The Fiordland Cinema screens Ata Whenua regularly, as well as showings of the latest in cinema releases for locals and visitors to enjoy.
Head to Miles Better Pies in Te Anau for one of the best pies in New Zealand! There is a range of delicious flavours to choose from including venison, thai chicken, apple - the list goes on. Grab a hot pie and head down to the lake front to enjoy your tasty treat.
The Te Anau Bird Sanctuary is a great place to stop in with the family on a day out in Te Anau. Free to visit, see the rare New Zealand takahe up close, and marvel at all the other beautiful native birds. Get there at 9.30am (summer) or 10.30am (winter) to catch the local DOC (Department of Conservation) ranger feeding the birds, and learn more about the different species found in Fiordland.
