Bluff

Bluff is a small working fishing town famous for its oysters and during the season these delicacies are a must to try. There are plenty of easy walking tracks around the town giving great views over Stewart Island and Foveaux Strait. From Bluff Hill you can see the plains and mountains in Southland. At Stirling Point you will find the famous road sign and the start (or finish) of State Highway 1.
