Skippers Canyon Scenic Tour and Jet Boat

The trip begins with a guided drive into historic Skippers Canyon via the infamous Skippers Canyon Road, carved out of the vertical rock face by miners over 120yrs ago. Journey slowly down the historic and stunning road, with ample opportunity for photos with all the stops along the way as you weave your way through the Southern Alps to the Shotover river at Deep Creek.
Arriving at Deep creek, gear up with life jackets and spray jackets then sit back, hold on, and try to relax as your experienced boat driver navigates the sheer canyon walls along the Shotover River. After the jet boat ride you will be given an exclusive tour of Winky’s Museum set in the scenic surrounds of the Sainsbury Gold Claim. This will give you an insight into the many techniques and types of equipment historically used by the region's miners.
