BOOKINGS

A deposit of $100 per person is required at time of booking and the issue of our confirmation invoice will be confirmation of your contract with Kirra Tours, the trading name of New Zealand Specialists Ltd, subject to the following conditions. If payment is made by a travel agent, they act as your agent until such time as we have issued our confirmation invoice, after which they act as our agent. In addition, when guided walks, treks, bicycle tours and some other more specialised product are included in an itinerary an additional deposit of $200 per person is required. Details would be advised at the time of booking by Kirra Tours.

FINAL PAYMENT

(a) The balance of monies due must be received by Kirra Tours at least 65 days prior to departure to facilitate timely preperation and delivery of travel documents.  If your Kirra Coach Tour holiday is confirmed online you will be requested to pay your full balance to secure your reservations on this tour.  If it is referred to a consultant to confirm, your final balance and payment options will be advised by your Kirra Tours consultant.

(b) For Independant Self Drive package holidays or components full payment will be due prior to 35 days before departure.  If your package includes a guided walk, treks, bicycle tours and some other more specialised product are, final payment is due 65 days prior to departure.

CANCELLATIONS

In the event of cancellation, you agree to pay the cancellation fees listed below whcih are calculated from when advise of cancellation is received in writing from Kirra Tours. Travel insurance is strongly recommended and provides protection against most legitimate reasons for cancellation .

(a) Any cancellation charge levied by the airline noting most airfares are nonrefundable.

(b) For any bookings cancelled after reservations have been confirmed and up to 35 days prior to departure, a cancellation fee of $100 per person will apply. Cancellations made between 34 and 7 days prior to departure, a cancellation fee of $200 per person will apply. Within 7 days of departure, cancellation fees are $400 per person. See also "Refunds" paragraph below.

(c) For Motorhomes cancelled within 35 days of departure, cancellation fees will be as noted in (a) and (b) plus may incur further charges to cover vehicle down time and repositioning fees, imposed by the operator.

(d) Refunds are not made on any unused arrangements once your travel has commenced.

(e) Guided Walks, Treks, bicycle tours and some other more specialised product attract the following additional cancellation fees; after confirmation $200 per person, 65-30 days prior to departure 50%, 29 or less days prior to departure no refund.

The client is responsible for cancellation fees immediately confirmation of arrangements is conveyed either verbally or in writing to the client’s Travel Agent.

REFUNDS

Once departure date is reached, cancelled or unused services/vouchers are not refundable. Vehicle early return does not qualify for refund. Refunds cannot be authorised by service providers. Unused open vouchers may be refunded on application to your Travel Agent and an administration fee of $50 per file will apply.

NOTE

Due to the diversity of product featured in this website it is not possible to practically detail all Conditions of Booking, Deposit and Cancellation information. Intending travellers with concerns as to specific details on these matters should raise them with thier Travel Agent/Kirra Tours and be satisfied with them before requesting firm bookings be made on their behalf. Instruction to proceed with reservations is interpreted as accepting these conditions.

AMENDMENT FEES

Once your reservations have been confirmed one alteration will be made without additional charges, but all subsequent changes will attract a minimum fee of $35.00 per file.

LATE PAYMENT FEES

Payments not made by the due date result in increased processing and communication costs in which case Kirra Tours reserves the right to impose a minimum fee of $35 per file.

ILLUSTRATIONS

All photographs in this website illustrate genuine events and places. Their use or particular positioning in this website should not be interpreted as confirmation that those events and places will necessarily be seen. Any concerns in this regard should be direct in writing to the Managing Director, Kirra Tours prior to the finalisation of travel arrangements.

PRICES 

All prices and amounts quoted in this website are for New Zealand land content only unless otherwise stated. Applicable airfares can be arranged and are additional to the website prices.  Prices may be subject to change due to international currency fluctuations and other factors beyond the control of Kirra Tours.  Any changes in prices affecting a client will be advised immediately they become known. 

VEHICLE BONDS

Insurance, accident and fuel bonds apply to the various vehicle categories featured with details listed on the relevant pages. These are subject to change without notice.

NOT INCLUDED

Airport arrival/departure taxes, charges for excess luggage, personal services, gratuities, laundry, drinks, meals except as specified, pre-travel documentation, personal accident and medical expenses and incidental expenses including all communication charges incurred on passenger’s behalf.

TOUR OPERATORS RESPONSIBILITY

The transport companies or firms concerned are not held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time passengers are on board thier aircraft or conveyances. The passengers contract in use by the carriers concerned when issued shall constitute the sole contract between the transportation compainies or firms and the purchaser of these tours and/or passengers. Kirra Tours and its associated companies or agents act in the capacity as agent for the suppliers of transportation and tour operation services. Seasonal variation in airline, transport and accommodation services may necessitate minor variations to itineraries and hotel standards. Any variation inconsistent with the applicable tour described in this website will be discussed and agreed with the client.

Quotations for tours are subject to tariff and exchange rate variations and may differ from prices quoted in this website.

Kirra Tours and other eligible parties shall not be responsible for any injury, damage, accident, loss or delay in respect of any person or property. In this clause the expression, "eligible parties" shall include any carrier, tour operator or other provider of any service in respect of a tour and for the purpose of conferring the benefit of this clause upon eligible parties. The exclusion of liability contained in this clause shall be subject to all statutory warranties.

These conditions of booking shall form part of the contract between the client and Kirra Tours. Where a carrier notifies conditions of carriage on any ticket, coupon or brochure, then the client shall be bound by those conditions.

ALTERATIONS & CANCELLATIONS BY KIRRA TOURS

It is unlikely that we will make changes to your booking once it has been confirmed however Kirra Tours reserves the right to do so on or before the balance due date. Thses changes are often minor and you will be notified immediatley.

If there is a major change or cancellation of your itinerary, providing this is not due to the force majeure*, you will be offered an alternative itinerary. You will have the option of accepting these alternative arrangements, in which case any difference in price will be refunded to you; purchasing another available holiday from us; or cancelling the booking completely whereby you will be given a full refund. A decision to cancel should be received in writing no later than 14 days from advice of the new travel arrangements.

*Force majeure is used to describe unusual or unforeseen circumstances such as war, threat of war, riot, civil disorder, terrorist activity, strike, natural or industrial disaster, adverse weather conditions, or similar events that are beyond our control.

COMPLAINTS

Any problems that occur whilst on holiday should be directed at the earliest opportunity to the local supplier or representative so it can be rectified immediately and failure to do so may reduce or cancel out any compensation claim. Complaints must be submitted in writing to Kirra Tours no longer than 30 days after returning from your holiday.

PASSPORT, VISA & HEALTH REQUIREMENTS

All passengers must ensure that they have a valid passport to travel to New Zealand. We can provide general advise on New Zealand visa and health requirements however it is the client's responsibility that necessary regulations are met.

CONDITIONS OF BOOKING

By instructing your Travel Agent or Kirra Tours directly, either verbally or in writing to proceed with Reservations on your behalf the client shall be taken to have accepted these condition of booking as binding.

PRIVACY POLICY
When making reservations or providing any personal details in your transactions with Kirra Tours, your personal information will only be used with the purpose of implementing reservations or correspondence on your behalf.  All personal information is used solely by Kirra Tours Ltd. or wholly owned companies (Australia & United Kingdom).  Any personal information may be viewed by you the client at any time by requesting so in writing to Managing Director, Kirra Tours, GPO Box 1402, Adelaide, S.A. 5001, AUSTRALIA.  If you choose to opt in for our e-newsletter updates, Kirra Tours uses your information solely for this purpose.  You may unsubscribe from our newsletters at anytime by clicking on the link provided on each newsletter.
